All of the following are true regarding the pudendal nerve, except:

A. Sensory and motor
B. Derived from S2, S3 and S4
C. Comes out through the lesser sciatic foramen
D. Main nerve supply of the pelvic organs

Answer is D. Leaves through the lesser sciatic foramen.

The pudendal nerve leaves through the greater sciatic foramen and not the lesser sciatic foramen only to reenter through the lesser sciatic notch.

Pudendal nerve is the chief nerve supply of the perineum and also supplies the pelvic structures. It serves as the main somatic nerve of the pelvic organs. It arises from the sacral plexus in the pelvis and is derived from S2, S3 and S4. It is a mixed nerve - both motor and sensory components.
