Motor supply of the diaphragm is:

A. Thoracodorsal nerve
B. Intercostal nerves
C. Phrenic nerve
D. Sympathetic nerves

Answer is C. Phrenic nerve.

The nerve supply of the diaphragm is as follows:
  • Motor nerve supply: Phrenic nerves (sole motor supply to the diaphragm)
  • Sensory nerve supply: Central part - Phrenic nerve, Peripheral part - Lower 6 thoracic nerves
